Mr. Willie Ellis, Jr. son of the late Willie Ellis, Sr. and Viola Allsbrooks Ellis was born September 8, 1939 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. He departed this life on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Carolina Regency Hospital in Florence, South Carolina.

Willie was united in holy matrimony to Eva Arlene Merriman Ellis in 1960. They moved to Alexandria, Virginia to afford a better life for their family. Willie was a hard worker; he was employed by Rose Hill Cleaners during the day and as a part time janitor.

Willie was a loving husband, wonderful father and the best grandfather. Willie was an avid fisherman, gardener and motorcyclist. He was quite the chef on the charcoal grill. Willie enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife of fifty-eight years, Eva Arlene Ellis; two sons, Michael Ellis (Maria), Forestville, MD and Willie Ellis, III (Bobbie), Oxon Hill, MD; a daughter, Venessa Mayo (Thomas), Stafford, VA; nine grandchildren, Corina Powell (Jason), Mitchell Lesane (Krishanna), Dominque Ellis, Dermetryus Ellis, Brian Finney (Brea), Isaiah Ellis, Asia Ellis, Elijah Ellis and Derrius Ellis; four great grandchildren, Kayla Lesane, Jason Cloud, Jr., Colin Cloud and Mitchell Lesane, Jr.; three brothers, Roy Lee Ellis, Wadesboro, NC, Jasper Ellis (Tina), Cheraw, SC and Woodrow Ellis (Sandra), Cheraw, SC; three sisters, Vinetta Malloy, New London, CT, Runette Wilson (John), Chesterfield, SC, Louise Chapman, Chicago, IL; an aunt, Dorothy McCoy, Salisbury, NC; two uncles, Lee Thomas Ellis, Salisbury, NC and Polk Ellis, New London, CT; a brother-in-law, Floyd Merriman (Betty), Woodbridge, VA; ten sisters-in-law, Bessie Ellis, Leeanna M.
